1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Gaugebit, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the software.

2. License Grant

Subject to these Terms, Gaugebit Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Gaugebit desktop application on your personal computers.

• Standard Edition: Granted free of charge for personal and non-commercial use, subject to in-app sponsorships.
• Premium Edition (Pro): Unlocked upon payment of a one-time lifetime license key. Valid for activation on up to 5 personal devices owned by the license purchaser.

3. Restrictions

You agree not to, and will not permit others to:

• Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the desktop application binary.
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the core Gaugebit application executable.
• Distribute, resell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Premium Edition license keys.

4. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Gaugebit desktop application, website, and brand assets belong exclusively to Gaugebit Labs. Custom widgets created by third-party developers belong to their respective creators, subject to the open-source license under which they are published.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Gaugebit is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. While we design the utility to query performance metrics securely and with minimal overhead, you assume all risk regarding system compatibility and hardware monitoring tolerances.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gaugebit Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the software.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in your jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.
